A leading Yorkshire employer has won the highest national award for quality housebuilders in Britain.
It is the second year in a row that Barratt Yorkshire East has been confirmed as meriting the maximum five star official rating from the Home Builders Federation (HBF). The news was announced after more than 20,000 new home buyers across the country took part in this year’s HBF customer satisfaction survey.
Asked if they were satisfied with the quality of their new home, and whether they would recommend their builder to a friend, more than 90 per cent of Barratt Yorkshire East customers answered yes. A score in excess of 90 per cent gives a housebuilder the rare and prestigious five star status.
“Nobody knows the quality of our homes better than the customers who live in them,” said Paul Hogan, Sales Director at Barratt Yorkshire East. “We are therefore ecstatic that they have awarded us the maximum five star rating for the second consecutive year.”

The HBF poll, in which buyers were sent a questionnaire around eight weeks after moving in, covered the 12 months until September 2010.
“Not only is the quality of our homes first class, we’re also making it much easier for our customers to take their next step on the property ladder, even if they don’t have a large deposit,” added Paul Hogan.
“If you’re a First Time Buyer you could move in for just 85 per cent of the price by taking advantage of our Head Start scheme. While homeowners who want a larger property are currently taking advantage of our part-exchange service in record numbers.”
