The majority of property commentators predict;
1. Residential property prices will go down in 2011, yet they offer us hope – believing that this year will see the market bottoming out and property prices growing, albeit slowly in 2012
2. Borrowing money will be as difficult in 2011 as it was in 2010
3. Inflation will stay above The Bank of England’s target putting them under pressure to raise interest rates by the middle of 2011
4. Demand for rental properties will continue to increase as will the rent being charged.
5.The number of new homes being built will not be able to meet demand for housing
Is now the optimum time to buy property?
Our view is that it is always worth investing in property (no shock there!) as long as you invest for the long term you are very likely to make a profit. The profit is even better if you buy and sell at the optimum times, a little luck is normally needed to get this timing right, but every now and again it becomes easy to recognise one of those times and now is one of those times – it is time to buy?
If you are in a position to gear up from your present portfolio or you have cash available it looks very likely you will find some excellent properties at excellent prices.
