The Government is making changes to housing benefit and local housing allowance (LHA) from 1 April, which will affect many East Riding residents who claim the benefits.
The changes may mean that the amount of benefit you receive towards your rent will go down and you will have to pay the difference.
The council will be writing to all those in receipt of the benefits outlining the changes and setting out in detail how they will impact on the amount people get.
